DIY School Craft : Pencil Case for Kids from Waste Cardboard

Pencil boxes are very common among children. They love to carry pencil box of different designs. Moreover, these cases are used to hold kid’s stationary items. Therefore, lot of pencil cases are easily available in the market.

However, here we are going to show you a very unique and attractive pencil box with an unusual design. This is our best out of waste craft.

Things Needed:

  • Cardboard
  • Pencil
  • Scale
  • Glue
  • Printed Sheet
  • Color Sheet
  • Sketch Pen
  • Bead
  • Metal Wire
  • Rubber Band

Procedure:

Step 1: Take a cardboard, measure 3*9 inches and cut into a piece.

Step 2: Now take another cardboard, measure 2.5 inches and cut into pieces.

Step 3: Use your hands to make small folds in the cardboard strip. Give it a curve shape.

Step 4: Paste these curvy shapes around the base cardboard piece.

Step 5: Draw the outline of the case on another cardboard. Cut it along the outline to get a similar piece. This will form the cover of the case.

Step 6: Take color sheet and cover the inner portion of the case. Similarly, wrap the printed sheet around the box.

Step 7: Paste thin strips around the case cover to wrap it completely.

Step 8: Take a sketch pen and cut it. Now fix this cut-out sketch pen on one side of the cover to facilitate movement.

Step 9: Now take a metal wire and insert a bead through it. Attach and fix it at the lower portion of the box.

Step 10: Similarly, insert the rubber band at the cover of the case to form the opening.
