Steps To Make A DIY Pasta Christmas Décor

Step 1- Colour and glitter up the Pastas

Our main décor element in this craft is pasta. So let’s start with decorating the pasta. Take the triangular and penne pasta. In a bowl, get red colour, add some water and prepare a colour. Paint the penne pasta with red colour using a brush. In another bowl, add some red glitter and dip the red painted pasta in the heap of glitter. Let this sparkle stick on the pasta and get dry.

Similarly, colour the triangular pasta with green colour and dip it into the green dry glitter for green shine! This is a very simple process to decorate the pasta. You can also use green glitter and colour for penne pasta to add some variations.

Step 2- Add glitter to the golden Beads

Take a bowl and add glue in it. With a brush, apply this glue on the huge beads with the help of a brush. To make this process tidier, take a white paper, place all the dry glitter on this paper. Create a heap of golden glitter and dip the glued bead in it. Glitter powder will automatically stick to the bead. Keep this bead aside and let it dry.

Step 3- Decorate the hanger

For hanging the Christmas decorations, we will also need a hanger. The threads for wall hanging will be of different sizes. We will make a V shaped wall hanging and thus, cut 7 different threads. The cornered threads will be smallest and the centre thread will be longest. When you cut the threads after taking the measurements, it’s time to decorate the hanger. For this, take some glue in a bowl and with the help of brush, apply glue all over the hanger. Now place this hanger on a paper and sprinkle silver sparkle on the hanger. Get the sparkle get dry and stick to hanger.

Step 4- Decorate the threads

The threads we are using for the décor also must be decorative and thus, we will apply silver colour to these threads. Dip the thread into the glue bowl, and dip it into the heap of silver glitter. Once glitter covers the entire thread, let it get dry.

Step 5- Assemble the glitter items

We have each and every thing coloured and covered with different glitter shades. It’s now time to assemble all the things and prepare an interesting wall hanging. For this, take the longest thread and stick the green pasta with glue.  With a glue gun stick the pasta. Make a chain of green triangular pastas and at the end, attach a golden bead.

Step 6-Fill the threads with pasta and beads

Take the other 2 large threads and use red pastas for this. Make a triangular shape while sticking 2 pastas together. Apply glue one end of both the penne pastas and stick them to the thread. Make a hanging with 2 pastas and one golden bead. Again use 2 pastas and a bead. Repeat this till you reach the end of the thread. Stick all the things with glue to make the hanging more strong and perfect.

Step 7- Attach the Threads to the hanger

Fill in all the threads with similar combinations. Fill the pastas add some beads of different colours and tie a knot at the bottom and end. When all the hangings are ready, take the hanger and arrange the threads as per the sizes. Place the longest thread in centre while the smallest thread at the ends. For tying these threads, you can either make knot surrounding the hanger or can use glue gun to stick the threads to hanger.

Step 8- Give finishing touches

Arrange all the hangings and trim the extra thread with the help of a scissors. Hang this beautiful Christmas hanging on the wall and here your beautiful wall hanging is ready! You can also add some more decorative elements like stars and glitter balls to make it more interesting!
