How To Make DIY Chocolate Basket Using Popsicle Sticks!

The Popsicle sticks are widely used in preparing some easy DIY crafts. There are ample of crafts you can make using the Popsicle sticks. Today, we are exploring the use of these sticks to prepare a cool and beautiful chocolate basket. We all love chocolates and have a hidden chocolate basket in our bedrooms. So why not make a cute and interesting Popsicle DIY chocolate basket? You can use this basket not only for storing chocolates but can also use it for storing some your belongings.

  • Ice cream sticks
  • Glitter sheets
  • Thermocol sheet
  • Glue gun
  • Cutter
  • Pen
  • Adhesive
  • Scissor
  • Divider tool
  • Decorative beads
  • Ruler
  • Beads and pearls

Steps You Need To Follow To Make A DIY Chocolate Basket

Step 1-

Take a thermocol sheet and a divider tool. With the tool, mark a circle on the sheet. Use a cutter to cut the thermocol sheet into circular shape. Now, take a glitter sheet or paper of the color of your choice and stick it to the thermocol circle using glue. Cut the remaining portion of the glitter sheet.

Step 2-

Now take the Popsicle sticks or ice cream sticks and arrange the sticks. We need 8mm long strips and thus, arrange the sticks together and mark 8mm markings. Using a scissor, cut all the sticks of length 8mm. take some adhesive or glue and stick these ice cream sticks on the side of the circle. Keep a gap in between two ice cream sticks.

Step 3-

Once the circle is surrounded completely by the ice cream sticks, it’s time to make a cool weaving pattern. Take some colorful glitter sheets. Cut 0.5mm broad strips using different glitter sheets. Take a broad pink glitter strip and cover the base of the circle with this strip. With this, all the sticks will stick properly to the circle. Join two long strips of a single color with each other to make it longer.

Step 4-

Weave the basket with these strips. Weave the strip in front of one stick while in the back of one stick. Keep weaving until the circle is covered. Similarly, take another color strip and start weaving the second layer. Weave the entire circle with multiple such strips until you reach the top of the circle. The colorful strips will look awesome and interesting. Now, stick the beads in the bottom of the basket base. Cover the entire basket with colorful glitter strips and decorative beads for a rich look!
