• Plastic cup

Steps To Make A DIY Angry Bird Piggy Bank

Step 1- Sketch the angry bird on the ball

We will need a huge plastic ball to make the face of the angry bird. Thus, take the plastic ball and make a sketch of angry bird on the ball. Keep a big picture of angry bird on the side and likewise using a marker pen sketch the angry bird on the ball. For balancing the angry bird, we will need a plastic cup. Get the cup and cut it from the top. You will get a nice ring on which you can now balance the angry bird piggy bank!

Step 2- Prepare the base of the ball

Attach this ring on the ball. Apply some glue on the top of the ring and stick it to the ball. This will give you a stable and balanced piggy bank base! Now you need to get a hole in the bottom of the piggybank to remove money. For this, cut a small circle from the bottom of the ball. Use the bottle cap to draw the circle and cut it using a cutter.

Remove the plastic and give it a perfect shape! Also fix the bottle cap in this hole to close it.

Step 3- Make the face and features of the angry bird

It snow time to make the facial features like eyes, nose and mouth of the angry bird. For this, you will need a thermocol sheet. This will give an embossed and bright effect to the face of the bird. Thus, get the thermocol sheet and with the help of a marker pen, draw the face features like nose eyes and eyebrows on the thermocol sheet.

Take proper measurements and with the help of a ruler, draw the other features. Cut these features with a cutter and match the sizes. If proper, stick these features on the angry bird ball!

Step 4- Make the beak and stick the features

Paste the features using glue gun and let it dry. To make the beak of angry bird, we will use a plastic bottle, draw the beak on the bottle and cut it suing a scissor. Cut a bulging beak from the bulging top of the bottle and fix this will the ball using glue gun.

Now we need to make the feather of the bird. For this, draw the feather sketch on the thermocol sheet and cut it with a cutter. Stick this heart shaped feather on the head of the angry bird using glue. You can make the feathers look more thick and amazing while joining 2 thermocol slices of feather shape. To give a nice effect to the feathers, make the corners of the feather smooth using cutter.

Step 5- Colour the angry bird

Here comes the most interesting and fun filled task of colouring the angry bird. Mostly, the colour of angry bird is red while you can choose any different angry bird if you wish. Start while colouring the entire ball with red colour. Colour the bottom of the bird with white colour. Except the lower area of the ball, completely cover the ball in red shade. Now start colouring the facial features.

Paint the eyebrows with black colour and paint the eyes with white shade. Colour the beak with yellow shade cover the base and top of the beak in a perfect way. Also cover the base ring with black shade and feathers with red. Make the pupils of eyes black and frame the eyes with black shade.

Step 6- Prepare a spot for inserting money

On the top of the angry bird, we will make a mark from where, money can be inserted. Mark a small rectangular space with a marker pen. With the help of cutter, cut this area and make a space for inserting money. Broaden the space and smoothen the edges.
